Local events are slated
— Breanna Fulper and Karen Aversano, local financial advisors for the financial services firm Edward Jones, 41 N. Union St., Lambertville, will host a celebration on June 28 from 5-9 p.m.
Ms. Fulper attributes the drive and work ethic that was instilled in her from growing up on her family farm to building the foundation of her business as Lambertville’s financial advisor for the last three years. Now, she is getting married and will be moving to her fiancé’s family farm in upstate New York.
Karen Aversano, who has been with Edward Jones for the last six years out of the Flemington branch, partnered with Ms. Fulper in 2012. “Her passion for helping people plan for a successful financial future complements Breanna’s strategy making the transition very smooth,” said a spokesman.
This event is a celebration of Ms. Fulper’s upcoming marriage and relocation as well as Ms. Aversano’s future in Lambertville.
Joanne Warms joined the staff this year as office administrator.
The evening will include appetizers, refreshments, and music by Ms. Aversano’s husband and DJ, Mike Aversano. They purposely scheduled their celebration the same evening as the New Hope-Lambertville Fireworks, which begin at 9:30 p.m. from the barge; a short walk from their office.
Ms. Aversano “is looking forward to developing more relationships in the community. She had the opportunity to open a branch in another location, but loved the sense of community in Lambertville. She believes in building long-term relationships, meeting people face-to-face, and doing what is right for her clients,” said the spokesman.
.Ms. Fulper said: “I truly value my clients and appreciate the confidence and trust they place in me. I want to thank my family, friends, and supporters for the encouragement, inspiration, believing in what I do and for referring others to me during my time in Lambertville.”

— In a free seminar on June 26, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., River Valley Realty, 45 N. Main St., Lambertville, will offer guidance and concrete information on everything from mortgage rates to home inspection, information that first time homebuyers need to know, but are too often afraid to ask.
Many first-time homebuyers delay learning about how they might invest in a home due to worries over mortgage calculators, monthly payments and/ or uncertainty about where to begin. In the meantime, they continue to pay rent on someone else’s mortgage.
New homebuyers should know that interest rates remain low right now. And, as the job market improves, mortgage lending is actually loosening. In fact, according to industry reports, first time homebuyers were the fastest growing population of buyers during January and February 2013.
”In this one-hour seminar, participants will find guidance and information from a trusted source in the community,” said a spokesman.
River Valley Realty will present four local experts, who will update new buyers on the real estate market and help ensure a more rewarding homebuying process.
A full service, real estate company owned by Kim Ward Bacso,, River Valley Realty specializes in the Delaware River towns of Titusville, Lambertville, Stockton and Frenchtown, and the surrounding farm, equine and residential communities of Hunterdon and Mercer counties.
”At River Valley Realty, we understand how emotional the homebuying process can be “ said agent Jasmine Papageorge, who is coordinating the First-Time Homebuyers Seminar on June 26.
Speakers will include Ms. Papageorge; Mortgage Rate Broker Glenn Davis: VP of Guaranteed Rate; and Certified Public Accountant Steve Talerico.
