State Fair Meadowlands provides fun for all ages

Featuring acrobats, sideshows, pig races, rides, games and more under an 1,800-seat circus tent, the State Fair Meadowlands will thrill fairgoers June 21-July 7 at the Meadowlands Fairgrounds, next to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

This year’s fair has something to entertain everyone, with Circus Maximus, animal shows, a petting zoo, bands ranging from 1960s pop music to country and contemporary rock, and fireworks displays.

Most attractions are free with an entry ticket, providing families with an affordable day of fun and entertainment.

The attractions include the following:

Circus Maximus — an acrobat, a pair of aerialists, clowns, trapeze artists and more.

The Racing Pigs — featuring Pamela Jean, the “Pig Racing Queen,” who calls the race like it’s the Kentucky Derby.

The Big Cat Show — lions, tigers and ligers.

Girl-to-Gorilla Sideshow — an oldtime illusion for the brave and curious.

NBA Nation Tour — meet-and-greet with NBA players; try out an agility course and skills challenge. New York Giants Health & Fitness Expo — MetLife Stadium, June 22-23.

 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest qualifier — June 29, 2:30 p.m.

Fabulous Fireworks — all are welcome to enjoy on July 3-4.
