SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Letters to the Editor

A community thank you

By Sam and Maddie Stewart
To the South Brunswick Community:
After 20 wonderful years, we are moving to Florida where Michael already lives.
In leaving, we want to express our deep appreciation and affection to all of you who have given us your friendship.
We wish we could say “farewell” to each of you in person. Since that is impossible, we are writing this letter.
First, thanks to our neighbors in the Pride neighborhood around Raymond Road and in the Greater Kingston area. Knowing you and working with you to make our neighborhood even better has been a pleasure. You have been wonderful.
Second, we want to thank all of you involved in the school community for including us in the dream of building a superior school system in South Brunswick.
The dedication of members of the Board of Education, the administration, the faculty, and the support staff enabled the South Brunswick School system to grow substantially and successfully and enriched our lives in meaningful ways.
Willa Spicer and Jeff Scott deserve to be singled out for their tireless work to make our dreams a reality.
Thanks to Superintendent Dr. Gary McCartney and Joanne Kerekes, the dream continues to evolve and expand.
Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to our township officials—the mayor and Township Council, the administrators and employees in the various departments, and the terrific police department who have helped keep us safe.
Thanks, also, to the police leadership for providing help and office space to Sam during Super Storm Sandy.
We are grateful for our time here and we wish all of you a successful future.
