SOUTH BRUNSWICK: SBHS names top seniors

South Brunswick High School has announced the student honorees for Graduation Day 2013.

 South Brunswick High School has announced the student honorees for Graduation Day 2013.
   The valedictorian of the Class of 2013 is David Liu. He was the Science Olympiad team captain, editor of an online news blog, and teaches calculus to students after school.
   He has been a member of the Chess Club, Junior Statesmen of America, Science League, Science Olympiad, and Future Business Leaders of America.
   He scored a “5” on nine Advanced Placement exams.
   In his spare time, he volunteers at the South Brunswick Public Library and at his church.
   His passion is in computer science, along with math and physics. He attended Governor’s School last summer and was a semifinalist for the United States Physics Team.
   His hobbies include, playing the guitar, traveling to China, computer programming, and playing tennis.
   He will be attending Princeton University for computers in the fall.
   This year’s salutatorian is Meghana Bansal.
   She is active in Junior Statesmen of America as a vice president, is the Director of Debate for the Mid-Atlantic State team, participated in the Fed Challenge sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank through the Financial Leadership Development.
   She is also a member of the Law Club, won first place in the Chemistry Olympics for Environmental Research and has been a member of the Science Olympiad and Future Business Leaders of America.
   She interned at Driscoll Laboratories in Rutgers University for the last two summers, plays the violin and participates in classical Indian dancing.
   She will be attending NYU in the fall to study business.
   Both students are presently putting the finishing touches on their respective speeches for Tuesday’s graduation ceremony at the Sun Bank Arena in Trenton.
