PRINCETON: Cooling centers designated

By Payal Marathe, Special to the Packet
As heat warnings go into effect, townships are encouraging residents to take certain precautions — stay hydrated, wear loose-fitting clothing, spend minimal time in direct sunlight and take advantage of designated cooling centers.
Some towns have the following cooling center:
Montgomery – The Otto Kaufman Community Center will be available for cooling until Friday, June 28, from 1 to 6 p.m. The community center is located at 356 Skillman Road across from the side entrance to Montgomery High School.
Plainsboro – The township suggests residents use the Plainsboro Public Library at 9 Van Doren Street and the Plainsboro Recreation and Cultural Center in the municipal complex whenever excessive heat advisories are issued.
West Windsor – The West Windsor Public Library, located at 333 North Post Road, is the designated cooling center during open hours.
