HUNTING PERMIT APPLICATION NOTICE

The application deadline is July 17 at 4 p.m. Only completed applications will be processed

   Beginning July 1, Hopewell Township will be accepting individual permit applications for the township’s municipal deer management program for the 2013-14 hunting season.
   All applicants must be 14 or older and have a valid New Jersey hunting license. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee.
   Note that there is a limited number of open hunting spots available this year, due to returning grandfathered hunters. Open permitted spots will be filled by lottery process.
   Once notified, successful applicants are required to participate in a hunter orientation, safety course and pay an additional $75 to receive their hunting and parking permits.
   Permits will be valid for the entire hunting season — Sept. 14, 2013-Feb. 15, 2014.
   Licensed hunters interested in participating in the program should visit www.hopewelltwp.org for an application form, parcel location maps/number of hunters/permitted sporting arms, rules and regulations, township ordinance for Deer Management and authorizing resolution.
   Paper copies of these documents are available in the township’s Municipal Building lobby.
   All applications, additional forms and releases must be submitted in person by the applicant to the Hopewell Township Police Department, 201 Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, Titusville.
   Applications will be accepted only from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Fridays. The application deadline is July 17 at 4 p.m. Only completed applications will be processed.
