FLEMINGTON, N.J. (June 27, 2013) – Representatives of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, Flemington Business Improvement District and Unity Bank joined Harold and Judith Zimmermann for a special reception to celebrate the launch of Feed Mill Station, a commercial property adjacent to Liberty Village that currently houses Roman Jewelers. The Zimmermanns received a $3 million loan from Unity Bank to finance the acquisition and renovation of the historic property, which now provides 56,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.
“The building is the former home of the Delaware Valley Farmers Cooperative Association and features four silos that will provide distinctive office space,” said Harold Zimmermann. “When we saw the building, we fell in love with it because it was vastly underused. We have relationships with other banks, but we wanted to work with a local community bank and Unity Bank has helped make our vision for the property a reality.”
Roman Jewelers maintains a long-term lease for retail space on the first floor, and Zimmermann’s business, Artcraft Health Education, occupies the remaining space on the first floor. Floors two through four offer over 30,000 square feet of Class-A office space that is available for rental. In addition to retaining the four silos, Feed Mill Station features many of the architectural elements of the old feed mill as well as a new fourth floor with a rotunda room and dramatic views of Flemington. The basement features a 50-person conference room and a full gymnasium with men’s and women’s showers that are available to all tenants, as are rooftop terraces on the second and third floors.

Originally built as a feed mill in the late 1940s, the property was converted into a retail mall in 1986 under the name Renaissance Plaza.
