EAST WINDSOR: Black bear spotted

EAST WINDSOR — A black bear roamed through the township June 25.
   The bear was first seen at 11:35 a.m. in the area of Conover Road and Sussex Lane, according to the East Windsor Township Police.
   Police and animal control officers monitored the bear’s movements. The bruin moved to Mercer Street between the Home Depot store and Airport Road by 12:26 p.m. and was seen crossing Conover Road near Woods Road heading south along the wood line at 1:50 p.m.
   There were no reports of property damage or injuries, according to the East Windsor Township Police.
   Police reported the sighting to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection bear hotline (1-877-WARNDEP).
