A fire broke out in The Orchard on June 21.

EAST WINDSOR — A fire broke out in The Orchard on June 21.
The fire in 166M of the residential community just past Target on One Mile Road extinguished itself prior to the East Windsor Volunteer Fire Companies No. 1 and No. 2 arriving at about 9:50 a.m., according to the East Windsor Police Department.
The residential unit was not occupied at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported, according to police.
The fire originated in the stove area of the kitchen. Heavy smoke damaged the kitchen. The rest of the unit also had smoke damage, according to police.The fire did not affect any other residences, police said.
The Hightstown Fire Company, Robbinsville Fire Company, Plainsboro Fire Company, West Windsor Fire Company, Capital Health Emergency Medical Services and both districts of the East Windsor Rescue Squad also responded to the fire, according to police.
