Township schedules fireworks night
   Sat., June 29 — Township-sponsored fireworks go off at intermediate school at 281 Auten Road, starting about 9:30 p.m. If it’s bad weather, the show will be the next night, Sunday.
   Parking is limited, and off-site parking locations have been designated at the high school on Raider Boulevard and the middle school on South Triangle Road. Free bus transportation will be provided beginning at 8 p.m.
   Car wash benefits school, band, guard
   Sat., June 29 — Support the Hillsborough High School Marching Band and Color Guard by having your car washed, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Hillsborough Elementary School, Route 206 at Amwell Road. Cars $5, vans $7.
   Festival celebrates Indian Heritage Day
   Sun., June 30 — Free event celebrate the heritage, clothing, food, crafts of India. Skits on Puranic stories, singing, chanting of mantras. Auten Road Intermediate School, 2 to 6 p.m. Sanatan Vidyalay hosts the event. Learn about its programs available during the school year.
Job support group to hear search tips
   Wed., July 10 — Jewish Family Service’s next support group free session for active job seekers who are unemployed, underemployed or seeking a career change, 7-9 p.m. at 150-A West High Street, Somerville.
   The topic is “The Defining the Key Elements of the Job Search” presented by Neil Cooper, Cooper Leadership Coaching.

Bowling for Billy helps youth’s family
   Sat., July 13 — Carolyn Tighe will host a Bowl for Billy fundraiser at Strike ‘n Spare Lanes in Green Brook, 8-10 p.m. Tickets at $20 each include two hours of bowling, shoes, dessert, coffee and three raffle tickets for gift baskets. Email Carolyn at [email protected].
Auxiliary sponsors outside flea markets
   Sat., July 13 — Flea markets behind the Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Co. No. 2 at 375 Route 206 and Hamilton Road starts at 9 a.m. Market outside spaces are $15 each. Vendors can show up the day of market without a reservation. Also to be held Aug. 17, Sept. 7 and 21, and Oct. 5.

GOP club organizes golf outing, dinner
   Fri., July 19 — Hillsborough GOP Club golf outing to at Royce Brook Golf Club. 11:30 a.m. registration and lunch and 1 p.m. shotgun start. Dinner in the tent with prizes and awards.    RVCC will hold info night at library
   Thurs., Aug. 1 — Raritan Valley Community College will host an information session for prospective students, 5-7 p.m., in the township library at 379 South Branch Road.
   Representatives will provide information about the 90 associate degree and certificate programs, as well as non-credit, professional/personal development opportunities, the admissions and enrollment processes, paying for college, and transfer and career opportunities.

   RVCC’s main campus is located at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg Township. RVCC @ Bridgewater, located at 14 Vogt Drive, offers technical, trade, credit and non-credit courses.
Continuing events
   Farmers’ market — The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey holds a weekly market at Duke Farms at 1112 Duke’s Parkway West to sell produce and seedlings from NOFA incubator farms on property. The market will be open Saturdays and Sundays, noon-4 p.m.
   Special Olympics — Swim program at the Hillsborough YMCA. Athletes will be divided into groups by skill. Sundays through June 30, 1-2:30 p.m. Ages 8 and older. Contact Jeannie Ciaccio at [email protected] for signup or information.
   Alzheimer’s support group — The Alzheimer’s Association has a support group in Hillsborough. Family members and caregivers come together to share information and support in a safe, confidential atmosphere.
   Meetings are the second Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. in the sunroom at Emeritus Senior Living, 60 Auten Road. Call 431-1300 if attending.
