The following area residents are recent graduates of colleges and universities:
— Widener Law recently held commencement exercises for its 39th graduating class on its campus in Wilmington, Delaware. The graduates included Andrew McHale, of New Hope, who received a juris doctor degree; and Nitander Raju, of New Hope, who received a master of jurisprudence in corporate and business law degree.
— Rebecca Townsend, of Stockton, graduated from Centenary College with a master of business administration degree at its 138th May Commencement at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center recently.
— Dario A. Cortes, president of Berkeley College, has announced that Jamie Davis, of Stockton, received a bachelor of business administration in fashion marketing and management degree.
— Sebastian C. Downs, of New Hope, received a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering within the College of Engineering & Mathematical Sciences during commencement ceremonies on May 19.
— Sarah A. Staudenmeier, of New Hope, was among the record number of graduates who earned degrees from The University of Scranton at commencement ceremonies held Memorial Day weekend. She earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
— Ithaca College’s Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences has honored New Hope student Charles Edwards with its Professional Excellence Award. The honor was presented May 15. The department gives the award to an undergraduate whose academic achievement and extracurricular activities embody academic rigor, professional development, and exemplary service to the college and the local community. Mr. Edwards graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree and dual majors in athletic training and clinical health studies.
— Lauren A. Falivene, of New Hope, earned a master of science degree with a major in curriculum and instruction from The University of Scranton.
— Tyler P. Harris, of Stockton, was among the 548 students awarded degrees at St. Lawrence University’s Commencement ceremony, held May 19 on campus in Canton, New York. He received a degree in geology and is a graduate of The Pennington School.
— Ryan Rebo, of New Hope, graduated from Clarion University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry on May 18. He also was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 for placement on the dean’s list.
— Drew University awarded bachelor’s degrees to the following at its 145th commencement on May 18: Sarah Barbato, of Stockton; Owen Becette, of New Hope; Julian MacNeill, of Lambertville; and Alexandra Adamson, of Lambertville.
— The following area residents earned degrees from Widener University during the annual Commencement Ceremony on May 18: Rachel Weller, of New Hope, received a bachelor of science degree in international business and management. Stephen Ziegler, of Stockton, received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.
— Alison F. Cuccia, of Lambertville, received a mater’s degree in science and public health from Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health on May 21. She also was inducted into Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society for Scholarship and Research.
— The following have graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania: David Eckelmann, of Stockton, received a bachelor’s degree in government and law/philosophy (double major). Carson Gentry, of Stockton, graduated with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering.
— The following graduated from Union College during its 219th Commencement exercises on June 16: Lauren Gifford, of New Hope, with a bachelor’s degree (arts major); Kevin Skeuse, of Stockton, with a bachelor’s degree (mechanical engineering major).
— New Hope resident Amanda Seal was one of 651 students to graduate from Messiah College on May 18. She graduated with a degree in human development and family science.
— Melanie Rader, of New Hope, graduated from Gettysburg College on May 19. She majored in economics. Alexandra Clint, of New Hope, also graduated from Gettysburg College. She majored in music performance. Daniel McNamara, also of New Hope, graduated from Gettysburg. He majored in computer science.
— Zoe Donohue, of Lambertville and daughter of Rebecca Collins and Jane Donohue, graduated from Hartwick College on May 25. She majored in political science.
— Among Boston University May graduates are: Brittany L. Flynn, of Lambertville, who received a master of education degree in education of the deaf; and Laura C. Brown, of Stockton, who received a bachelor’s degree in history.
