HILLSBOROUGH: Parking plans change for county 4th of July celebration

There will be no on-site parking; shuttle buses to Raritan Valley Community College will be provided

Rain has forced a change of parking location for the July 4th family festival celebration on Thursday, July 4.
The music and fireworks will begin at 5 p.m. as planned at North Branch Park, Milltown Road, Bridgewater.
   Due to the flooding from the recent rains, all parking has been moved to Raritan Valley Community College, Route 28 and Lamington Road in Branchburg. Free parking will be available in Lots 1 and 2. There will be no parking on site at North Branch Park.
   Beginning at 4 p.m. 10 shuttle buses will provide transportation to and from North Branch Park throughout the evening. Handicapped accessible buses will also be provided. The last bus is expected to leave the park and return to the college at midnight.
   The entire schedule of entertainment and performances is expected to take place as planned, including a reenactment, children’s games and activities, plenty of food and a display of fireworks, set to begin at 9:30.
   Verdict will kick off the live stage performance at 6:30. with classic reggae, calypso, soca and funk island music. Headliners Dancin’ Machine will recapture the disco days of boogie fever and the hustle at 8:30.
