From Lambertville
The City of Lambertville police reported:
— Police are investigating a theft of jewelry. The theft was reported by a local business on June 20.
Several pieces of gold jewelry, which had been left on display, were reportedly stolen. The jewelry was valued at $500.
Sgt. Robert Brown is investigating at this time.
— Ruth Holmes, 73, of Lambertville, was arrested on an outstanding warrant as a result of a motor vehicle stop June 20.
Sgt. Brown stopped Ms. Holmes on Route 29 at 12:50 p.m.
A warrant had been issued for Ms. Holmes the same morning after she reportedly had failed to appear in court on previous charges.
Bail had been set at $500. Ms. Holmes was later released with a pending court appearance scheduled for the same evening.
All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
