The Metuchen Arts Council will sponsor a bus trip to the Brooklyn Museum on July 24 for a guided tour of the John Singer Sargent exhibition, followed by admission to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, which is adjacent to the museum.
The “John Singer Sargent Watercolors” exhibition brings together Sargent’s works acquired by the Brooklyn Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The 93 pieces on display provide a rare opportunity to view a broad range of the artist’s finest production in the medium.
The bus will leave Metuchen High School, 400 Grove Ave., at 9 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. The cost is $45 per person, which includes bus transportation and admission to the museum and garden. Lunch is available at the museum café or at the garden’s Terrance Café at an additional cost.
Space on the bus is limited, and reservations are required in advance by contacting Nancy Goldberg at [email protected] or 732-632- 8502.
