PLAINSBORO — A Plainsboro man was charged with drunk driving around midnight on Wednesday after allegedly driving while intoxicated with his infant daughter in the car.
Police said they watched Amol Chaudhari, 33, pull into his Aspen Drive apartment complex around 12:07 a.m. that morning, where he parked his 2009 Acura TL in the parking lot of Building 6. Shortly after, they heard loud yelling and saw Mr. Chaudhari standing outside his car talking on a cell phone. When the officer approached him, he reported smelling alcohol and determined Mr. Chaudhari had been driving while drunk, according to police.
He said Mr. Chaudhari’s 19-month-old daughter had been a passenger in the car.
Mr. Chaudhari was then charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a juvenile in the vehicle and the child was turned over into the custody of the mother.
Mr. Chaudhari also received summonses for reckless driving and an unclear license plate.
