East Windsor
   Police charged John Sobkowiak, 21, of East Windsor, with shoplifting in Target at 1:36 p.m. July 4.
   Police said Mr. Sobkowiak was an employee of Target and an investigation revealed he stole headphones, a bracelet, golf balls and glow sticks. The items were valued at $188.95.
   Mr. Sobkowiak was released without bail.
   Police investigated a report of criminal mischief at Canterbury.
   Police said between 10:30 a.m. July 4 and 6:30 a.m. July that an unknown person scratched a vehicle. The estimated cost to repair the damage is $450.
   Police charged John P. Galvin, 63, of Cranbury, at 5:26 p.m. July 8 with drunken driving, reckless driving, careless driving and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
   Police responded to the Target parking lot on a report of a male slumped over the steering wheel in a silver BMW.
   He was released without bail.
   Police charged Josephine Medina, 56, of New Egypt, at 3:45 p.m. July 7 with shoplifting.
   Police responded to Walmart on a report of a shoplifter. Ms. Medina allegedly was observed placing numerous items, including shower gel, shorts and T-shirts, in her purse, police said. The value of the items was $200.16.
   She was released without bail.
   Police reported a theft at the Holiday Inn between 9:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. July 5.
   Police said an unknown person removed $40 and a vehicle key from a room.
   The victim indicated when she returned to her room that the door was ajar, and she noticed the money and key missing.
   Police charged John P. McCarthy Jr., 19, of East Windsor, with disorderly conduct, obstructing justice, resisting arrest and being in a township park after hours at 61 Rockybrook Road at 1:04 p.m. July 5.
   Police responded to a report of a fight in progress. Police said Mr. McCarthy ran from officers into Veteran’s Park, was intoxicated and failed to follow the officers’ instructions.
   He was released without bail.
   Police said two juvenile victims suffered minor injuries that did not require medical attention. Neither juvenile was able to identify Mr. McCarthy.
   Both juveniles were released to their parents.
   Police charged Andrew J. Becchina, 23, of East Windsor, with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and aggravated assault on Pierce Road at 12:11 p.m. July 5.
   Police responded to Pierce Road on a report of a male with an axe. Upon arrival, officers found Mr. Becchina outside his residence. They said he had been engaged in a verbal argument when he picked up an axe.
   The victim was uninjured, police said.
   Bail was set for Mr. Becchina at $20,000 with a 10 percent option.
   Police charged Carlos R. Barrios Ochoa, 43, of North Brunswick, with drunken driving in a school zone, unlicensed driving, careless driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, impeding traffic, uninsured vehicle, failure to exhibit registration, failure to wear a seatbelt, having an open container in a vehicle and consuming alcohol in a vehicle on Route 571 at 7:28 p.m. July 5.
   Police responded to the area of Route 571 near Route130 on a report of an erratic driver. Police found Mr. Barrios Ochoa in a brown Chevy travelling east toward Route 130.
   Police said the vehicle failed to maintain its lane while on Stockton Street.
   He was released without bail.
