POLICE BLOTTER
The Solebury Township Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on Route 202 (Lower York Road) at the entrance to the Logan Square Shopping Center at approximately 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (July 16).
A Ford Explorer being operated by Nancy Smith, 49, of New Hope, was travelling south on Route 202 prior to turning into the Logan Square Shopping Center.
During this time, a 2012 Yamaha V-Star motorcycle, operated by Maximiliano Urzua, 67, of Ontario, Canada, was traveling north on Route 202 on the approach to the entrance of the shopping center when the vehicles collided.
Mr. Urzua sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by a member of the Bucks County Coroner’s Office. Ms. Smith did not report any injuries, nor did the girl, a passenger in her car.
The Solebury Township Police accident reconstruction officer will continue investigating this crash. Police are asking any witnesses to contact the department at 215-348-7400 or 215-297-8201, ext. 117.
Police will release additional details of this investigation once it is completed.
HUNTERDON COUNTY Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III and Lambertville Police Director Bruce Cocuzza said Wednesday that a residential fire investigation is ongoing in Lambertville.
At 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday, the resident at 107 Clinton St., Lambertville, smelled smoke in the attic of her house and called 9-1-1. She got out of the house safely before the fire department arrived. The circa-1853 dwelling sustained major damage and partially collapsed due to the fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined and the investigation is ongoing.
”Nothing appears suspicious at this time,” according to Prosecutor Kearns.
Responding fire and rescue units included Lambertville Fire, Lambertville Rescue, New Hope Fire, West Amwell Fire, Raritan Township Fire, Flemington Raritan Rescue, Stockton Fire, and Sergeantsville Fire.

WEST AMWELL — Cpl. Timothy Vanselous, of the West Amwell Township Police Department, reported:
— On June 22, Patrolman Jonathan Sellner stopped a vehicle on Route 179 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Artur Blaszczyk, 35, of Mahopal, New York, was issued the following summonses: DWI, reckless driving, failure to move left for an emergency vehicle and misuse of dealer plates. After processing, Mr. Blaszczyk was released with a court date.
— On July 1, Patrolman James Klesney investigated a motor vehicle crash on Route31 in the area of the Route 579 intersection. A vehicle driven by Barbara Stephenson , 52, of Clinton, struck the rear bumper of a vehicle driven by Annette Oneil, 47, of Flemington. Minor injuries were reported, but both vehicles were driven from the scene. Ms. Oneil was issued a summons for careless driving.
— On July 4, Patrolman Joseph Cesare stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation on Route 179. It was driven by Pierce Rapin, 23, of Flemington, who issued the following summonses: speeding, DWI, careless driving, and failure to keep right. Mr. Rapin was released with a court date.
— On July 5, Patrolman Edward Skillman stopped a vehicle on Route 518 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver Flavio Aguilar-Arias, 32, of New Hope, was arrested for DWI. Mr. Aguilar-Arias also was issued the following summonses: failure to keep right, reckless driving and unlicensed driver. Mr. Aguilar-Arias was released with a court date.
— On July 12, Patrolman Skillman stopped a vehicle on Route 518 for a motor vehicle violation. A computer check showed that the driver Taniel Bennett, 39, of Roebling, had an outstanding traffic warrant from Burlington City. Ms. Bennett was arrested for the warrant and received a motor vehicle summons for driving while suspended. Ms. Bennett was released with a court date.
