Two tools, valued at $31, were reported stolen from the Majeski Machine Co. on Spruce Street between 4:30 p.m. July 16 and 7 a.m. July 17. The thief broke two Plexiglas window panels and reached inside to take the tools. Damage was estimated at $150.
A vandal broke several windows on an abandoned building on Spruce Street between June 28 and July 17 at 1:30 p. m., causing damage estimated at $375.
Sedrick Bailey, 28, of Lawrence, was charged with obstructing the administration of law and justice, resisting arrest, and charges of possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of a syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped a car in which he was riding for a motor vehicle violation at 7:50 p.m. on July 18.
Mr. Bailey allegedly jumped out of the car and fled to a nearby house on Helen Avenue. He did not stop when a police officer ordered him to stop, and ran into the house. Police followed him into the house and arrested him. He was released after posting $11,500 bail with a 10-percent option.
Courtney Smith, 32, of Lawrence was charged with shoplifting clothing worth $230.98 from Macy’s at 1:15 p.m. July 19. She was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on an outstanding warrant on $1,500 bail with a 10-percent option.
Shanta Key, 30, of Philadelphia, Pa., was charged with shoplifting lipstick and perfume valued at $142 from Sephora at the Quaker Bridge Mall July 19 at 4:15 p.m.
Nicole Damelio, 37, of Ewing Township was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, failure to maintain her lane, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident after she was involved in a single-car accident in the area of the Brunswick Circle at 1:12 a.m. July 21. She was released to her father’s custody.
An assortment of tools and construction materials, valued at more than $2,000, were stolen from a house under construction on Vermont Street between July 14 and July 20. The burglar entered the house through a cellar window.
Wendy He, 18, of West Windsor Township was charged with shoplifting $100 worth of makeup from Sephora at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 6:02 p.m. July 21.
A vandal spray-painted the driver’s side window on a vehicle belonging to Cooper Pest Control on Lawrence Station Road between 5 p.m. July 18 and 9 a.m. July 22, causing $20 worth of damage.
A 16-year-old Trenton girl was charged with shoplifting a bottle of vodka, valued at $34.99, from the Joe Canal’s liquor store at the Mercer Mall at 1:22 p.m. July 22.
