HIGHTSTOWN: Public hearing on Route 33

The Hightstown Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the First Aid Squad Building at 168 Bank St.
The purpose of the public hearing is to hear comments from all interested parties regarding the Route 33 Corridor Revitalization Plan and to consider its adoption as part of the borough’s master plan.
The Route 33 Corridor Revitalization Plan was prepared for the township of East Windsor and the borough of Hightstown and focuses on the Route 33 area between Route 130 in East Windsor and Summit Street in Hightstown.
The Route 33 Corridor Revitalization Plan is organized and bound into two documents. One is the plan itself, dated May 2012, and the second is recommended zoning and design standards dated August 2012.
Only the plan is being considered for adoption at this time in conjunction with a master plan amendment.
Copies of the documents comprising the Route 33 Corridor Revitalization Plan and the corresponding proposed master plan amendment are available for public inspection between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, and between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Hightstown clerk’s and Planning Board secretary’s offices located at 156 Bank St.
