   • July 24 at 9:06 a.m., a woman reported her black binder falling off the roof of her car as she turned onto West Camplain Road about 7:30 a.m.
   The binder contained her son’s birth certificate and social security card as well as her social security card, tax records and car insurance papers.
   Police checked the area, but were unable to find the binder.
   • Police charged Angel Alvarez, 41, of Middlesex, on July 24 at 1:43 p.m. with theft of movable property for allegedly stealing a vehicle’s knob shifter.
   Police responded to the entrance of Adesa Auto Auction on North Main Street after an employee requested police. Mr. Alvarez was released without bail.
   • July 24 at 2:37 p.m., a North 6th Avenue woman reported her 24-year-old son had been missing since July 18.
   The woman filed a missing person’s report, a county alarm was broadcast, and her son was placed into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person.
   July 25 at 9:25 p.m., the woman reported her son was in Paramus. At 10:28 p.m., Paramus police reported the man was OK, and the item was cleared from the national blotter.
   • A South 8th Avenue man reported July 24 at 5:49 p.m. that someone used his credit card number in Chicago between March 11 and 31 for transactions totaling about $1,000. Police in Manhattan, Illinois, are investigating.
   • Brian Wojcik, 36, of Huff Avenue, Manville, was charged with third-degree burglary and theft July 24 at 7:35 p.m. and taken to the Somerset County Jail.
   Previously, police said a South 5th Avenue woman reported at 2:05 a.m. July 7 that several items, worth a total of $3,064, had been taken from her residence since 3 p.m. July 6.
   July 7 at 10:25 a.m., a South 4th Avenue man said he had found several of those items on his front lawn.
   • A Boesel Avenue woman reported finding tobacco spit on the roof of her car on July 25 at 8:22 a.m. The woman said the incident occurred at her home between July 24 at 10 p.m. and July 25 at 7:50 a.m. She said there was damage.
   • July 25 at 11:36 a.m., a man reported that someone has been knocking on his sister’s side door at her home on View Street multiple times.
   • A man came to headquarters July 25 at 1:25 p.m. to report his Florida dealer plate was stolen from the Adesa parking lot on July 16 between 11 a.m. and noon.
   • A South Main Street caller reported a man was walking with four unleashed dogs in the Stop and Go parking lot on Friday at 9:48 a.m. Patrol officers advised the man to put a leash his animals.
   • Friday at 3:41 p.m. a South 11th Avenue woman reported receiving harassing phone calls for two days from three phone numbers.
   Two of the phone numbers are from the Hillsborough area, and the third number is from a gmail account. She said the caller from the third phone number threatened her.
   • A Manville lifeguard reported Friday at 4:58 p.m. that a possible unlicensed ice cream truck was selling ice cream at the park.
   Patrols responded and issued a motor vehicle summons to a Ewing Township man. Police said the Board of Health would follow up the man about licensing violations.
   • A West Camplain Road man reported Saturday at 7:32 a.m. that people are continually loitering around his business, Collision Tech, at night and leaving trash. The man requested extra patrols in the area, and he said he will pick up the trash.’
   • A North 21st Avenue woman reported Saturday at 6:58 p.m. that her car was scratched as if with a key overnight between 11:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. Estimated damage is $800.
   • A North Main Street man reported Sunday at 4:16 p.m. that his Amazon Kindle, valued at $199, was stolen while being repaired at the Walmart electronics department July 27.
