Vote Steve Brame for Town Council

Peter Kremer, Lawrence Township
To the editor:
This fall Lawrence Township faces a critical election for Town Council. Budget shortfalls, and rising costs and taxes continue to challenge council members and dominate the discussion about where the township is headed. For a town in search of answers, Steve Brame is the man for the job.
These challenges call for a steady, experienced hand. Steve has a lifetime of exactly the kind of experience that Lawrence Township needs in its decision makers — economic development, planning, housing, management and leadership. Throughout his career he has worked with citizens, neighborhoods and business to help build better communities.
Many of you have seen Steve at work first hand during his many years as both member and chairman of the Township Zoning Board. You have seen his steady hand, his willingness to listen and learn, his calm and respectful manner, and you know that his decisions are made in the best interest of those who live, work and do business in Lawrence Township.
Some choose to criticize and complain. Others offer catch phrases and instant fixes without details.
Don’t vote based on something you heard at a party, read on a lawn sign, or even this letter. Look at the facts, check out the resumes and experience of the candidates, what they say, and what they can realistically accomplish.
Don’t simply vote for or against a party or a slogan, and don’t be swayed by cliches and empty promises. Vote for experience, common sense, and workable, long term solutions that put our town on a sure and steady path that maintains our high quality of life, provides value for taxpayers, and doesn’t punish the most vulnerable among us — our children and seniors.
