Mrs. Nikitin, of Howell, formerly of Marlboro, died July 20, 2013. She was a hairdresser and previously owned and operated the Bamboo Room Salon, Jackson. Mrs. Nikitin was predeceased by her husband, Peter Nikitin, in 1990. Surviving are four sisters, Irene Davis of Manchester, Louise Pekarchik of Marlboro, Bernice Cobb of Lake Como, and Elaine Cobb of Jackson; her mother-in-law, Marie Nikitin of Howell; five sisters-in-law, Mary McBath, Olga Weber and Carol Sullivan, all of Howell, Helen Roe of Florida, and Pat Nikitin of Manchester; a brother-in-law, Max Nikitin Sr. of Howell; and many other family members. A memorial service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall St., Eatontown, NJ 07724.
