Dr. Stacey Paulis named as Chief School Administrator at East Mountain School

Donald J. Parker, CEO and President of Carrier Clinic, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stacey Paulis, Ed. D., to the position of Chief School Administrator at East Mountain School.   Dr. Paulis will begin as Principal at EMS on August 19th.
Ms. Paulis has an extensive background in teaching and school administration, with over 20 years of experience in the education field.  Most recently, Dr. Paulis served as an administrator at the Somerset County Educational Services Commission in Bridgewater, NJ, serving as Principal, Director of Special Education and Director of Non-public Programs.

Ms. Paulis began her career in education at the William McGinnis School in Perth Amboy, as a Language Arts teacher and was selected as the Gifted and Talented Teacher. Her teaching history also included positions at the Soehl Middle School in Linden, NJ and the Alexander Batch Intermediate School in Manville, NJ.
In 2003, Dr. Paulis was selected to become the Assistant Principal position at Somerset County Educational Services Commission in Bridgewater.  She became Principal in 2007. During her tenure, Dr. Paulis participated on several leadership committees, including the Somerset County Leadership and Planning Team with the Executive County Superintendent, and served on the Special Education, Professional Development and Shared Services Committee from 2009-2010.  She has also been the Director of Special Education since 2009.
Dr. Paulis received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Educational & History and her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration at Kean University. She earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy in April 2011 from Seton Hall University.  Dr. Paulis has received her Certificate of Eligibility as a New Jersey School Administrator, and is certified as a New Jersey Principal and Supervisor.
A Hillsborough, NJ resident, Dr. Paulis is also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Company No. 2.
