EAST BRUNSWICK — After nearly 30 years of Jewish education, the Solomon Schechter Day School at the East Brunswick Jewish Center will close prior to the start of the 2013-14 school year, according to a post on the school’s Facebook page.
“We would like to thank everyone trying so very hard to do everything possible to keep the school open, but the outcome we so wanted just wouldn’t be,” the post read. “Jewish education will continue and the Jewish people will survive and strive, but this phase of Jewish education in our community has come to a sudden and unfortunate end.”
Head of School Rabbi Stuart Saposh was not available for comment at press time.
