HAMILTON — This year’s Septemberfest will honor Hamilton’s hometown heroes who protect township residents through service in the armed forces or on local police, fire and emergency response agencies. Veterans will also be honored for their service.
The annual community event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Veterans Park.
In addition to the many crafters, vendors and exhibitors that traditionally take part in the celebration, this year’s fun-filled event will include the participation of armed forces and veterans groups, an army tank and “touch a truck” area for children to see these military and emergency response vehicles up close, as well as amusement rides for children to enjoy.
With food, music and other entertainment throughout the day, this year’s Septemberfest promises to be another great event for the entire family.
”The service and sacrifices of our armed forces, veterans, police, fire and emergency responders is something we should recognize and honor every day,” said Mayor Kelly A. Yaede. “I am very proud that this year’s Septemberfest – our largest community event of the year – will pay a special tribute to all of our hometown heroes.
”I look forward to joining our entire community and neighboring residents in thanking these heroes for all that they do for us, as well enjoy another great Septemberfest celebration together,” Mayor Yaede added.
Local businesses and organizations interested in participating in Septemberfest, which draws tens of thousands of visitors each year, can access vendor applications at www.HamiltonNJ.com.
Organizations interested in participating or would like more information can also contact the Hamilton Township Recreation Division at 609-890-4028.
