Police charged Margaret Vannell, 32, of Jackson, with narcotics possession Aug. 15.
Police said a vehicle in which Ms. Vannell was a passenger was observed failing to maintain a lane of travel on I-195. An ensuing search of the vehicle revealed the accused to be in possession of heroin.
Ms. Vannell was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to surrender a controlled dangerous substance to police. She was released without bail.
Aug. 15 police charged Raymundo Augusto Lopez, 38, and Nidia Mendoza, 40, both of Trenton with burglary and criminal trespassing.
According to police, officers responded to reports of a burglary in process at a residence under construction on Gordon Road. Police observed a vehicle parked in the rear of the residence and located the accused during an ensuing search of the residence.
Both of the accused were charged and released pending court.
Police charged John Rubino, 23, of Bayville with narcotics possession and driving under the influence Aug. 16.
According to police, a vehicle was observed failing to maintain a lane of travel and use a proper turn signal on Route 130. An ensuing traffic stop revealed evidence the accused may have been intoxicated and that narcotics were present.
Mr. Rubino was charged with heroin possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving, reckless driving, having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, lamp maintenance, failure to maintain a lane and failure to give a proper signal.
He was released without bail.
Aug. 17 police charged Awilda Rosado, 19, of Ewing with narcotics possession.
According to police, a vehicle driven by the accused was observed with a front windshield obstruction on I-195. An ensuing search of the vehicle revealed the driver to be in possession of marijuana.
The accused was also charged with failure to use a directional signal, maintenance of lamps, failure to change address and having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. The accused was released without bail.
Police charged Jessica Cabral, 38, of Robbinsville with driving while intoxicated after a one-car crash Aug. 19.
According to police, officers reported to Meadowbrook Road and discovered a blue Volkswagen in a wooded area off the roadway. Police said there were no injuries.
Ms. Cabral was also charged with careless and reckless driving. She was released without bail.
Aug. 20 Donna Michaels, 56, of Hamilton was charged with driving while intoxicated after a head on collision.
According to police, a Nissan driven by the accused, was travelling westbound had drifted into an eastbound lane of Route 33 causing a head on collision with a Jeep.
Both the accused and a passenger in the Jeep suffered minor injuries and were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Hamilton.
Ms. Michaels was also charged with careless and reckless driving. She was released without bail after receiving treatment.
Police are investigating a burglary and theft to a motor vehicle on Winterset Drive.
According to police, the victim reported that the theft occurred between 6 p.m. Aug. 19 and 8 a.m. Aug. 20. A wallet containing approximately $20 was reported stolen from the unlocked car, police said.
There are no suspects at this time.
Police are investigated a burglary and theft from a garage and vehicle on Woodcliffe Drive.
According to police, the victim reported that the theft occurred between 10 p.m. Aug. 19 and 7:30 a.m. Aug. 20. Two Schwinn bicycles valued at $150 and a pair of boots valued at $50 were removed from the unlocked garage and vehicle respectively.
There are no suspects at this time.
Aug. 21 police charged a Alec Green, 20, of East Hampton, New York, with driving while intoxicated.
According to police, a car driven by the accused was seen failing to maintain a lane on I-195. During the ensuing motor vehicle stop, evidence the driver was under the influence and that narcotics were present were observed, police said.
Police reported a search of the vehicle revealed small quantity of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Green was also charged with being under the influence of narcotics, marijuana possession, failure to maintain a lane, reckless driving and careless driving.
Passengers Alissa Clermont, 18, and Lucus Ward, 20, both of East Hampton, New York, were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana, respectively.
All three were released without bail.
Police charged Adam Schwartz, 31, of Keyport, with narcotics possession Aug. 21.
According to police, a vehicle driven by Mr. Schwartz was observed failing to maintain a lane on I-195. An ensuing search of the vehicle revealed 62 individually packaged bags of heroin, drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic needle.
Mr. Schwartz was also charged with heroin possession with intent to distribute, drug paraphernalia possession, hypodermic needle possession, having a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle and failure to maintain a lane.
He was released without bail.
Aug. 22 police charged Shawn Taskowitz, 35, and Erik Rosenborg, 34, both of Jackson, with narcotics possession.
According to police, a vehicle driven by Mr. Taskowitz was observed making an unsafe lane change on I-195. An ensuing search of the vehicle revealed a small quantity of heroin, a small quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Taskowitz was also charged with making an improper lane change, failure to maintain a lane, heroin possession, drug paraphernalia, and having a controlled dangerous substance in a police vehicle.
Mr. Rosenborg was charged with cocaine and controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. Both were released without bail.
Police are investigated an Aug. 22 armed robbery that occurred at the Windsor Gulf gas station and convenience store located on Route 130 north.
According to police, officers responded to reports of armed robbery in progress at 9:33 p.m. The victim, a gas station attendant, told officers that three black males had robbed him of an undetermined amount of cash.
Police said the victim reported that one of the males had brandished a small silver revolver, but was unable to provide a better description as the men concealed their faces during the robbery. He told police they fled on foot to the rear of the building.
Though a K-9 unit was able to track the suspects a short distance along Route 130, it is believed they entered an unknown vehicle and remain at large.
The Robbinsville Criminal Investigation Unit responded to process the scene and there are no suspects at this time.
Aug. 24 police charged John Cufsky, 26, of Howell, and Thomas Marsh, 26, of Jackson, with narcotics possession.
According to police, a vehicle driven by Mr. Cufsky was observed failing to maintain a lane on I-195. An ensuing search of the vehicle revealed a small quantity of heroin.
Mr. Cufsky was also charged with failing to maintain a lane, having a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle, heroin possession and being an uninsured motorist.
Mr. Marsh was also charged with heroin possession. Both were released without bail.
