Several local students have been named to the University of Delaware’s Dean’s List for spring 2013. Those students include: Evan Acuna, of Pennington; Matthew Aldridge, of Titusville; Bradley Filepas, of Pennington; Gemelle John, of Pennington; Jonathan Lear, of Titusville; Katherine Norris, of Pennington; Alina O’Donnell, of Titusville; Alexander Patrick, of Pennington; Christos Philippou, of Pennington; Maryanna Santin, of Pennington; Meghan Spoth, of Pennington; Caroline Toth, of Pennington; and Anna Wagner, of Pennington. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above for the semester.
Local students plan to join the incoming class of Blue Hens at the University of Delaware. They are: Sarah Ehrenberg, of Pennington; Lindsey Moonan, of Pennington; and Eric Brownstein, of Pennington.
Hannah M. Boudreau, of Pennington, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at the University of Vermont. She is a first-year student environmental sciences major in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. To be named to the dean’s lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
The following local residents were named to the Dean’s List at Ithaca College for the spring 2013 semester: Bud-Erdene Gankhuyag, a resident of Titusville and a history major in the Class of 2015 (School of Humanities and Sciences); and Margaret Strode, a resident of Pennington and a occupational therapy major in the Class of 2016 (School of Health Sciences and Human Performance).
Approximately 6,200 students received degrees during the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s spring commencement ceremonies in May. Among graduates is Molly Grace Lloyd, of Hopewell, bachelor’s degree in economics.
Colin M. Montemarano, of Pennington, earned Dean’s List honors at Saint Joseph’s University for the spring 2013 semester. He is majoring in finance. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn Dean’s List status for a semester.
Michael Fredericks, of Pennington, has been named to the Dean’s list at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the spring 2013 semester. The dean’s list recognizes full-time students who maintain grade-point averages of a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 and have no grades below “C.”
Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham, located in Madison, have been named to the Honors Lists for the spring 2013 semester. To qualify for the Honor’s List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses). The following students have qualified: Alexander Kovak, of Pennington, and Younghoon Park, of Pennington.
Whitney Bickford, a political science major , resident of Pennington and 2011 graduate of Hopewell Valley Central High School, was named to the Dean’s List at Union College for the 2012-13 academic year. To make Dean’s List, students must receive a 3.5 grade point average for the entire academic year. They also must meet several other requirements to be awarded the honor.
Gabrielle Ryan, of Pennington, a student on Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Metropolitan Campus, located in Teaneck, graduated in May 2013.
