RED BANK — The Red Bank Shade Tree Committee and Red Bank Environmental Commission will host a giveaway of live trees for residents of Monmouth County on Oct. 26.
Trees must be picked up between 9 a.m. to noon at the municipal building at 90 Monmouth St.
There will be 140 redbud trees and 60 white oak trees available. An effort will be made to fill requests, but recipients should be prepared to accept either tree.
The giveaway is being held in partnership with the NJ Tree Foundation as part of the NY/NJ Super Bowl XLVIII Host Committee’s environmental program.
County residents who would like to receive a free tree should fill out the survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/MHL972B.
Trees will be provided to the first 200 survey respondents, who will receive an email from the NJ Tree Foundation if their application is accepted.
