To the editor:
As former Township Committee members and colleagues of Frank DelCore, it is our pleasure to endorse him for a truly well-deserved re-election to Township Committee on Nov. 5.
Mayor DelCore has led the Township Committee in again holding the line on spending this year, as spending levels remain below those of 5 years ago -something other towns cannot claim. Sharing the commitment we made to the taxpayers when we were in office, Mr. DelCore has rejected feel-good spending fueled by borrowing and new taxes, and has instead eliminated wasteful spending while reducing the size of local government, which is how budgets and taxes are kept under control.
Frank has also been a leader in promoting local economic health. Under his leadership, the Township Committee passed dozens of measures to ease unnecessary restrictions and excessive fees on local businesses.
Hillsborough and its Economic & Business Development Committee are such a model of successful private/public business partnership that the EBDC has drawn Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, the state’s most prominent advocate for business and commerce, as a guest speaker.
Frank DelCore has always put the taxpayers’ interests first and foremost, and has governed with class and good grace. He has earned our endorsement, and our residents’ votes.
