Clothing drive: Manville High School PTSA is looking for donations of clothes, bedding, shoes, stuffed animals, and accessories, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school parking lot by the gym. Funds raised will support student scholarships and Project Graduation.
Flu shot clinic: Public library at 100 So. 10th Ave. hosts inoculations from 10 a.m. to noon. $5 for Manville residents, $10 for others. Free to Medicare Part B participants. Sponsored by Somerset County Board of Health. Call 908-231-7155 to make appointment, or just walk in.

Monthly parish breakfast: Sacred Heart Church auditorium. South Main and Filak streets. 8 to 11:30 a.m. Scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, French toast, potatoes. $5 for adults, $2 for ages 6-12, and free for younger than five. 908-725-0072.
Food tastings: “Foodfest of Manville” will offer samplings from menus of local restaurants to benefit Manville First Aid & Rescue Squad. 5:30 p.m. at VFW Hall , 600 Washington Ave. Sponsored by Manville Rescue Squad Auxiliary. School board: Board of Education holds closed-session “retreat” setting, noon to 3 p.m. in ABIS media center to discuss annual goals. No action is planned.

Casino trip: A trip to Atlantic City Resorts raises money to benefit the Manville VFW Post 2290 for its community service. The cost is $60, which includes $20 back, buffet, 3 p.m. musical show and driver tip. Call 908-722-0156.

Slavic dinner: St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church holds monthly dinner, 4 to 7 p.m., St. Mary Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd. $12 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $5 for children (8 and under). All-you-can-eat pirohi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes. A surprise entrée will be prepared by St. Mary’s chef John Pagano.

Hours at Borough Hall: Offices continue to be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
Recreation office hours: Monday, noon to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, noon to 5 p.m., and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Friday. The recreation information line is 908-725-9478, ext. 119.
