Report from police records
A Gladys Avenue man called at 6:47 p.m. Oct. 21 to say that he arrived home and discovered a jar of change missing. Patrols responded and investigated.
• A South 12th Avenue apartment resident came into headquarters a few minutes past midnight into Oct. 22 to report a suspicious individual on crutches in the intersection of Duke’s Parkway and North 13th Avenue. Patrols checked the area but found no one.
• A caller reported at 1:20 p.m. Oct. 22 that a mattress was illegally dumped on North Weiss Street.
• A North Weiss Street apartment dweller reported someone banging on her door at 8:57 p.m. Oct. 22. Patrols found a homeless man, 30, knocking on the door. He was advised to leave the area and he complied, police said.
• A North 9th Avenue man told police at 9:12 a.m. Oct. 23 that his neighbor shined a laser light into his daughter’s eye the previous night. The accused woman denied it happened. Both parties were advised they could sign complaints.
• Charles Gordon of Manville credit card theft at 10:37 a.m. Oct. 23.
• An Adesa Auto Auction employee reported finding firearm cartridges inside a vehicle at 11:07 a.m. Oct. 23. Patrols turned over the ammunition for destruction.
• A South 15th Avenue man reported at 8:15 a.m. Oct. 24 that the back window on his truck had been damaged while it was parked at the American Legion hall on South Main Street. Police confirmed the window was shattered by an unknown object, causing an estimated $500 in damage.
• Anthony Giordano of Manville was charged with shoplifting at Walmart at 3:22 p.m. Oct. 24. He was processed and released.
• On Oct 24 at 6:20 p.m. a Brooks Boulevard man said he lost his leather wallet with license, bank card and two store credit cards in the last two days.
• Jonathan Chudy reported a suspicious incident involving a handgun on South 3rd Avenue at 10 a.m. Saturday. Detective William Sampson was contacted to assist with the investigation. The county prosecutor’s office declined authorization of criminal charges.
• A caller reported at 2 p.m. Saturday finding a dead deer in a container in Duke’s Park. Police said the DPW was to be contacted Monday for removal.
• Kareem Boyd, 29, of Raritan was charged with third-degree aggravated assault and resisting arrest in a child custody dispute in the area of West Camplain Road and South 19th Avenue at 1:14 p.m. Sunday. Hillsborough police assistance was requested. The prosecutor’s office was contacted. Bail was set at $15,000, with 10 percent in cash permissible.
• Frank Radwanski, 37, of Manville was charged with shoplifting items valued at $68.61 at 2 p.m. Sunday at Walmart on North Main Street. He was released with a court date.
