SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Superheros return to SBHS

Last Friday marked Homecoming night for South Brunswick High School.

 Last Friday marked Homecoming night for South Brunswick High School.
   The traditional ceremony with the class floats and the naming of the king and queen and the court highlighted the halftime festivities of the capacity crowd watching the Middletown North-South Brunswick football homecoming game.
   This year’s theme was “Superheroes.”
   Advisors Kelly Boyer and Gina Welsh coordinated the program.
   The Student Council led off the program with its float and the theme from “The Incredibles.”
   Following were floats from the other classes with students dressed as X-Men (freshman class), Spiderman (sophomore class), The Avengers (junior class), and Batman (senior class).
   The final float was an entry by the Yearbook Staff entitled Superman.
   Immediately following the parade was the introduction of the Homecoming Court.
   The court was comprised of Ryan Wahl, Alex Kainer, Kristin Cavorley, Ben Zimmitti, Monika Bagle, and Anya Singh-Varma.Principal Peter Varela crowned Allie Wahl and Matt DiIusto as Homecoming King and Queen.
   The festivities also included a bonfire and pep rally on Thursday.
