 Amboy Bank employees are clad in superhero garb for the kickoff of the bank’s Spooktacular Food Drive. Chelsea Senior Living LLC has named Elaine Jeffers, R.N., vice president of health services. Jeffers will oversee all resident and employee health programs at Chelsea’s 17 assisted living and special needs communities in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. She will also be in charge of compliance with state and federal health regulations, quality improvement and training. Chelsea Senior Living has locations in Tinton Falls and Manalapan.

Great Clips salon is thanking all local veterans for their service by offering free haircuts through its “Thank a Veteran” promotion. Veterans who visit Great Clips on Nov. 11, with proof of service, will receive either a free haircut that day or a free haircut card to redeem by Dec. 31. In addition, all customers who purchase a service on Nov. 11 will receive a free haircut card to give to a veteran. The cards are redeemable by veterans at any U.S. Great Clips from Nov. 11 through Dec. 31. Vikranta Sharma, M.D., has recently joined CentraState Healthcare System, Freehold Township, as the medical director of its palliative care program, in partnership with the VNA Health Group.

Dr. Sharma graduated from Delhi University and Maulana Azad Medical College in India. She completed a residency in internal medicine at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, Syracuse, N.Y., and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

In addition to providing education and support to CentraState’s existing palliative care program, Dr. Sharma is available to perform palliative care consultations on individual patients when requested from the patient’s primary care physician.
