HILLSBOROUGH: Emergency volunteers can train

Academy to host multi-sessions

People who want to be trained to help in community disasters are encouraged to attend training for the Community Emergency Response Team.
The six-session free training, to be run at the Somerset County Emergency Services Academy on Roycefield Road, starts next Tuesday, Nov. 12, and continues Nov. 14, 20 and 21. All sessions are from 7-10 p.m. Two other sessions are on Nov. 17 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Training is limited to the first 50 who respond.
Members of the CERT are very valuable to our community during times of disaster as became evident during Superstorm Sandy. We encourage interested resident s to be trained and join the Hillsborough CERT,” said Hillsborough Township Committeeman Doug Tomson.
