Manville finally has it all! A new all-you-can-eat buffet in the Marketplace at Manville on North Main Street. The Flaming Grill opened its door a little over a week ago, and has become an instant success.
Kevin Zheng, owner and manager of the Flaming Grill, said, “I decided to move here and offer a good price.” They were looking for locations all over and they came to Manville because there were no buffet restaurants as competition.
The work began in June and it took about four months to open.
”Everything is going fine but we still want to upgrade a little bit with our service and corporate rates for workers,” said Mr. Zheng. He would also like to improve the system for waiting customers with either a microphone or speakers with numbers.
The lines have been out the door and down the sidewalk, said Mr. Zheng. On Saturday night he said there were about 200 people in line, filling the place to the 350-person capacity.
Mr. Zheng said he has 20 employee and is still hiring for a hostess and workers.
The signature color of the Flaming Grill is pink for the employees for the high class and they are trying to be high class, according to Mr. Zheng. The Flaming Grill offers more than 250 items on the buffet from ribeye steak, salmon, butter shrimp, black pepper shrimp, crabmeat and chicken. There is selection of sushi and a hibachi section along with salads, fruits and desserts.
The prices are reasonable for an all-you-can-eat buffet. Lunch on Monday-Friday from 11:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m. will cost adults $7.39, kids 7-10 $4.95 and kids 3-6 $3.35. There is a Saturday buffet at $7.99 for adults, but kids’ prices remain the same.
Dinner buffet and all day Sunday have one price of $10.99 adults, $6.50 for 7-10-year-olds and $4.95 for 3-6. Flaming Grill is open 7 days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Farin Skillman of Flemington and friend Rosemarie Leonard of Raritan enjoyed their Sunday dinner there. Both women said the food was good and there was a nice selection.
The official grand opening is today, Thursday, at 11 a.m. with a ribbon cutting by Mayor Angelo Corradino.
Mr. Zheng invites everyone to come in.
”We would like to have people come in and have our meals and give us comments on how to improve and stay longer,” he said. “We will always have something fresh and something new.”
