COUNTY: Master Gardeners offer winter containers program

The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County will host “Winter Containers” on Nov. 12 from 7-8 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 930 Spruce St., Lawrence.

LAWRENCE — The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County will host “Winter Containers” on Nov. 12 from 7-8 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 930 Spruce St., Lawrence, adjacent to the Trenton Farmers Market. Master Gardener Kelly Thompson will demonstrate how to create decorations for outdoors as well as for inside the home. Learn which plants work best in arrangements and how they can be combined for an attractive effect.
   To benefit the Master Gardeners of Mercer County educational programs, a donation of $3 is suggested. To preregister for this program, call 989-6830.
   The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Mercer County is a volunteer educational outreach program of Rutgers Cooperative Extension. Master Gardeners participate in many volunteer programs throughout the county, as well as answer home horticulture questions through their Rutgers Master Gardener Helpline, 989-6853, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (November through February).
