South Brunswick police arrested an Edison woman in connection with a reported burglary at a Kendall Park home on Tuesday.
Detective Ken Herman arrested Kelly Murolo, 34, of Edison after an investigation linked her to the items stolen from the residence, according to police.
Police said officers responded at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon to a Kendall Park home after the resident came home and found the home ransacked.
The resident said the children’s’ Xbox 360 and Xbox video games were stolen. In addition, a safe had been taken from the master bedroom, according to police.
Detective Herman followed several leads that identified Ms. Murolo as a possible suspect and recovered the stolen items at an Edison location, police said.
Ms. Murolo was arrested at South Brunswick Police Headquarters Wednesday afternoon.
She was charged with theft and criminal mischief, police said.
She was processed and released on a summons pending her first court appearance.
