LAMBERTVILLE — The Lambertville Historical Society’s second annual holiday CD, featuring songs by local musicians, is available.
The special edition CD, “Season’s Greetings from Lambertville 2013,” is a fundraiser for the society and its James Marshall House Museum.
This year’s compilation offers 15 holiday songs in a variety of styles —including rock ‘n roll, folk, country, blues, New Age and rap — “showcasing the high quality and vibrant personalities of Lambertville’s artists,” said a spokesman.
The contributing musical acts are Lynell Antonelli, Bronwyn Bird and Justin Nawn, Exile, Mary Barry Freedman, Carol Heffler, Hunterdon Harmonizer Chorus, Lambertville Traditional Carol Society, The Lifters, Barry Peterson and Brian Dean Moore, River Speak, Santa P and the Elves, The Shackers, John Thomas, Deva Troy and Laurie Vosburg and 519 South.
The holiday CD release concert will take place Nov. 24 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the YMAC at 65 Wilson St.
A second concert, sponsored by the Lambertville Public Library in cooperation with the Lambertville Historical Society, will take place Dec. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Centenary Unified Methodist Church, 108 N. Union St.
Musicians from the CD will perform their holiday songs and other tunes. Both concerts are free and open to the public.
The CD is $10 for Lambertville Historical Society members and $15 for nonmembers and also will be available for sale at the following Lambertville venues: Blue Raccoon, Chocolate Box, J.B. Kline’s & Son/Bucks County Coffee, Lambertville Trading Company, River Queen Artisans, Rojo’s, Tirpok Cleaners and Wonderful World of Wines as well as Farley’s Bookshop in New Hope.
Proceeds benefit the Lambertville Historical Society.
