Sat., Nov. 23
   Performance: “Matthew McMouse,” a live dramatization of the Christmas adventures of a mouse that lives in the cellar of a Slovak Family in a minin patch, will be presented at 11 a.m. at the library, 100 10th Ave. The free program is presented by the the Raritan Valley Cultural & Heritage Society, which promotes the hhe heritage of all Slavic Cultures. Fri., Dec. 6
   Tree lighting: Santa Claus will throw switch to light the public tree in gazebo on South Main Street at 7 p.m. The high school chorus will sing holiday songs. Free hot chocolate (donated by Main Street Deli) and gingerbread cookies.
Sat., Dec. 7
   Breakfast with Santa: Free pancake-and-sausage breakfast for Manville residents at VFW hall on Washington Avenue, 9 a.m.-noon. Kids can have their pictures taken with Santa and families can make holiday ornaments together. There’ll be a DJ and dancing. The high school PTSA is helping to organize the event and will have a donation jar for anyone to donate to the group for scholarships and Project Graduation.
Sun., Dec. 8
   Special photos with Santa: Children with autism or other developmental disabilites can have a photo taken with Santa in a sensory friendly environment, 10 a.m.-noon or 1-3 p.m., TR Activity Center, 355 Milltown Road, Bridgewater. Wed., Dec. 11
   Slavic dinner: St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church holds monthly dinner, 4 to 7 p.m., St. Mary Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd. $12 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $5 for children (8 and under). All-you-can-eat pirohi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes. A surprise entrée will be prepared by St. Mary’s chef John Pagano.

   Hours at Borough Hall: Offices continue to be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
   Recreation office hours: Monday, noon to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday, noon to 5 p.m., and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Friday. The recreation information line is 908-725-9478, ext. 119.
