The 16th annual Columbus Tree Lighting Event and Holiday Light Tours will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, Sponsored by the Mansfield Special Events Committee, the event starts at 6 p.m. at the Old Mansfield Township Municipal Building on East Main Street, Columbus.
   The Mansfield Township Elementary School Band and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of Columbus will be performing with Santa arriving at 6:15 p.m. followed by the annual tree lighting ceremony. The Holiday Light Tour will run continuously between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. originating at the Community Park.
   Tickets can be purchased at $5 per person at the concession stand in Community Park. Children age 2 and under are free.
   While in the park, enjoy the bonfire and music. After your wagon ride, stop by the concession stand and enjoy some free hot chocolate and cookies.
   In the event of snow, the event will be held Sunday, Dec. 8.

   The Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter are offering pet/family photos with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Columbus Central Veterinary Hospital .
   All donations for the photos are used to improve the welfare of the animals at the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
   There will also be a bake sale, which will also raise funds for the shelter, including paying for medical care and purchasing special food and toys.

   Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter is an all-volunteer 501c3 organization that works with the shelter to care for animals at the shelter and place them in adoptive homes.

   The Wesley United Methodist Church at 24573 E. Main St. will host a free Kids Club for children in kindergarten to eighth grade Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. through May 22.
   Activities will include crafts, music, games and Bible stories plus special events.
   The Northern Burlington Regional High School Band Boosters will be holding its annual holiday crafts show and bake sale Sunday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
   The crafts show will be held at the Jacobstown Fire Hall. This event benefits the award-winning Greyhound Marching Band.
   Crafters or vendors who would like to display/exhibit at the show should contact [email protected]. The cost is $25 per table for crafters and $50 per table for vendors.
