HAMILTON: Academy students achieve at scholastic olympics

Trenton Catholic Academy took second place team honors, including four individual medals, in its recent Scholastic Olympics, according to a school release.

HAMILTON — Trenton Catholic Academy took second place team honors, including four individual medals, in its recent Scholastic Olympics, according to a school release.
   A total of 105 students representing seven parochial and one public school from the Mercer area took part in the competition. The categories were art, English, history, math, religion, science and spelling.
   Receiving medals for TCA were Michael Hustado, of Trenton, first place in history; Katrina Rivera, of Trenton, first place in spelling, Andrew Abraham, of Hamilton, second place in religion; Christopher Rouze, of Trenton, second place in science; and Lorena Abad, of Trenton, third place in art.
   ”This was a brand new test that was more difficult than ones used in past years,” said Anne Reap, director of TCA’s Lower School. “Our students demonstrated the strength of our academic program at TCA.”
   The McCorristin Chapter of the National Honor Society at Trenton Catholic Academy plans and conducts the event every year.
