Pennington NJ, November 26, 2013: St James Church in Pennington will host a Christmas Carol Festival on Sunday, December 8, 2013. The event is open to everyone in the community who enjoys singing Christmas Carols. It’s for those who already have their radios tuned to the stations that play continuous Christmas music; those who are looking for a chance to sing some of those great traditional hymns for themselves; and everyone in between.
The program, which begins at 3pm, will include an opportunity for all of the children who are present to participate in a mini-pageant (no rehearsals required). And it will end with cookies and cider, while the notes of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” echo in our ears.
Lauren Walters, Director of Music at St James, said “This is an opportunity to put aside the hustle and bustle of our day to day Christmas preparations, and go back over 2000 years ago to a little town called Bethlehem. We think that an hour spent in caroling is just the thing to give us some focus in the midst of our Advent season.”
