LAMBERTVILLE: Holiday events start this weekend

Tree lighting is Saturday; menorah lighting is Sunday

   The City of Lambertville will hold its annual tree lighting on Saturday, Nov. 30, beginning at 4 p.m. at the corner of Union and Bridge streets.
   The festivities begin with performances by the Lambertville Volunteer Drum and Bugle Corps and the Downtown Players from the Downtown Performing Arts Center.
   After the tree lighting, Santa Claus will listen to each child’s Christmas wish at the Justice Center. At 6:45 p.m., the Acme Screening Room will feature a free showing of the holiday classic, “A Christmas Story.”
   Rabbi Eli Kornfeld, executive director of Chabad of Hunterdon County, will light the community menorah on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. at the corner of Bridge and Union streets. All are invited to participate.
