PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton
   Karuna Mudgal, 42, of Branchburg, was arrested at 9:48 p.m. Dec. 5 and charged with drunken driving on the first block of State Road. She was also charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, failure to exhibit a driver’s license, careless driving, driving without insurance and operating an unsafe vehicle.
   Richard Gerner, 41, of Somerset, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 5 and charged with shoplifting at Blue Mercury in Palmer Square.
   A Christmas wreath valued at $35 was stolen from a building on the 100 block of Nassau Street sometime the night of Dec. 5.
   A wallet, its contents and other personal items, with a total estimated value of $150, were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 200 block of N. Harrison Street between 7:35 a.m. and 8 a.m. Dec. 7.
   Josephine Lembong, 25, of Princeton, was arrested at 12:28 a.m. Dec. 7 and charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop on Paul Robeson Place near Witherspoon Street. She was also charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, failure to obey a marked turning course, failure to keep right, reckless driving and failure to inspect her vehicle.
   A white female, 5’6”, between 150-160 pounds, with dark hair and wearing all black attempted to shoplift items from Landau’s on Nassau Street on Dec. 7. Upon confrontation, the woman removed the items from her purse and then fled from the store. The items, valued at $150, were all recovered.
   West Windsor
   Andrius Narkunas, 28, of Philadelphia, was arrested at 7:29 p.m. Dec. 7 and charged with shoplifting at Walmart in Nassau Park. Police said he concealed $49.76 worth of merchandise inside other merchandise boxes.
   Sylvanus L. Ola-Pratt, 27, of East Windsor, was arrested at 1:11 a.m. Dec. 3 on a warrant in the amount of $1,444 out of West Windsor. He was taken to the Mercer County Detention Center in default of bail. Police said the warrant stemmed from a theft investigation.
   A 74-year-old West Windsor resident reported that he was pick-pocketed while checking out of Walmart in Nassau Park at about noon on Dec. 7. He said $200 was missing after a black male 5’10”to 6’2” tall, accompanied by a black female, bumped into him.
   A resident of Country Squire Lane reported two separate UPS deliveries, valued at $466, were stolen from the front porch between 12:28 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. on Dec. 5.
