Performing Arts (APA) will present “In Process,” a unique dance performance narrated by Founder and Artistic Director by Carolyn Dorfman, featuring CDDC and Academy students, on Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m., at the Academy for Performing Arts, 1776 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains.
The Company will perform excerpts from current works Portrait and Interior Designs, as well as preview Portrait Perfect, a new piece by renowned choreographer Peter Chu. APA students will demonstrate class work and an excerpt from the CDDC piece Echad, which features a 120-pound aluminum wheel. The program demonstrates the collaborative work between CDDC and the APA dance department, where Ms. Dorfman and the company have artist-in-residence since 2009, and annually sets CDDC repertory on the students.
