Jim Scott, acclaimed acoustic guitarist, singer and composer of powerful music that furthers the ideals of ecology, justice and peace will perform in concert at Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community.
BORDENTOWN — Jim Scott, acclaimed acoustic guitarist, singer and composer of powerful music that furthers the ideals of ecology, justice and peace will perform in concert at Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community.
Mr. Scott will perform at DDUUC, located at 39 Park Street in Bordentown on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Seating is limited so advance reservations are recommended.
Known to many as the voice on the Winter Consort’s “Common Ground,” Mr. Scott’s musical output runs from lyrical songs, and instrumentals, to choral compositions.
He has performed in the company of luminaries of the jazz and folk worlds.
Successfully transcending stylistic boundaries, Mr. Scott has recorded or shared the stage with luminaries from the jazz, classical and folk music worlds.
In his years with the Paul Winter Consort, he led thousands in the song “Common Ground” and his own eco-anthem, “A Song for the Earth.” He co-composed the Consort’s monumental choral work, “Missa Gaia/Earth Mass,” and also recorded “A Concert for the Earth.”
