Hopewell Township police Lt. Lance Maloney reported:
Officer Kevin Koveloski went to a Pennington-Hopewell Road address to check out a report of a theft on Dec. 2. Sometime between 8 p.m. Nov. 29 and 7 a.m. Nov. 30 someone removed a copper drain pipe from a building under restoration. The loss was estimated at $400.
Officer John Ferner went to a Skyview Drive address to investigate a report of a burglary on Dec. 5. Sometime between 7:35 a.m. and 3:40 p.m., someone entered the residence and removed cash and jewelry. The loss was estimated at $2,500. Detective Michael Sherman is assisting with this investigation.
Detective Sherman charged John Keane Jr., 29, of Washington Crossing- Pennington Road, Titusville, Alexander DeJesus, 26, of South Broad Street, Hamilton, and Tyrone Raymond, 26, of Sallie Street, Trenton, with burglary and theft on Nov. 12.
These charges stem from a car burglary reported on Oct. 7. It occurred on State Park Drive.
Mr. DeJesus also was charged with hindering apprehension for providing false information concerning his identity. This case has been forwarded to the Mercer County prosecutor’s office for review.
Princeton police reported that a 50-year-old Hopewell woman suffered injuries to her head and legs after a head-on collision around 11 a.m. Friday. Mary Bowers was traveling east on Cherry Valley Road when her 2005 silver Dodge Neon crossed into the westbound lane while negotiating a series of curves in the roadway.
Her car collided head-on with a gray Toyota Sienna minivan driven by Veronica Sigu, 40, of Princeton, according to the Princeton Police Department.
Cherry Valley Road was closed between Great Road and Province Line Road for approximately 90 minutes as a result of the accident, according to police.
Ms. Bowers had to be extricated from her vehicle by the Princeton First Aid Rescue Squad and was taken to Capital Health at Fuld in Trenton where she was treated for the non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
Ms. Sigu refused medical attention at the scene, according to police.
Both vehicles had to be towed.
Patrolman Judd Petrone is investigating the crash, and no summonses had been issued as of press time Monday.
