SOUTH BRUNSWICK: Kingston crash seriously injures Mercer Woman

South Brunswick Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a Mercer County woman Thursday morning.

South Brunswick Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a Mercer County woman Thursday morning.
   The crash was reported at 8:51 a.m. on Ridge Road by Sassman Lane and forced the closure of Ridge Road between Route 1 and Route 27 for an hour, police said.
   A 20-year-old Mercer County woman was driving a 2003 Lexus west on Ridge Road to her work in Princeton.
   According to police, the woman lost control on a bend on Ridge Road near Sassman Lane and went off onto the right shoulder.
   The woman over corrected and spun back across the road into oncoming traffic headed east on Ridge Road where her Lexus was struck broadside by a 2013 Nissan that was being driven by a 44-year-old Princeton woman.
   The Mercer County woman was seriously injured and was taken by South Brunswick EMS and paramedics to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, police said.
   The Princeton woman was taken by South Brunswick EMS to University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro where she was treated and released, according to police.
   The crash is under investigation by South Brunswick Police Traffic Safety Bureau Officer Michael Leung. Police are checking to see if speed was a factor in the crash.
