January 27th Conference in Princeton Offers Helpful Workshops for Non-Profit Professionals & Volunteers
Princeton NJ — December 26, 2013 n To encourage community members and nonprofit professionals and volunteers to “listen to their hearts and play a part” in solving some of society’s ills, Princeton Community Works will once again host an annual conference at Princeton University’s Frist Campus Center.
Scheduled for the evening of Monday, January 27th, from 5:00-9:15 pm, the Conference will feature wonderful networking opportunities, a surprise keynote address and the choice of 22 one-hour workshops focused on helping non-profit boards, staff and volunteers work together more effectively.
Now in its 16th year, the Conference is planned and produced by a dedicated committee of involved community members. It typically attracts over 400 representatives of more than 200 area nonprofit organizations each year. The cost for attendance is a modest $35, which includes a boxed supper, keynote address and the choice of two workshops. Since space is limited and workshops are filled on a first-come/first-served basis, early registration is highly encouraged!
Among the 2014 workshop topics are:
• Innovation on a Shoestring Budget
• “Hot” Legal Issues Facing “Cool” Non-Profits
• Getting the Board on Board for Fundraising
• Elements of Strong Financial Oversight
• A Grant Writing Toolbox
• Nuts and Bolts of Strategic Planning
• The 3Rs of Volunteer Management
• Emerging Trends in Fundraising
• Social Media Strategies
• Leverage your Organization with Coalitions
