Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) will host guest speaker Andrée Aelion Brooks at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 12, as she presents “Jewish Pirates of the Caribbean: Their Origins and Exploits” at 171 Ridge Rd., Rumson.
Brooks will discuss Jewish pirates in the Caribbean in the 16th and 17th centuries. An associate fellow at Yale University, she is an expert on the Sephardic, Caribbean and Mediterranean Jewish communities.
